When working with buyers her efforts are to give them as many options as she can and to find the best property for them. She has patiently assisted many relocating individuals and families sort through the many wonderful housing opportunities in the Washington metro area to find their new homes.
In working with sellers, Anne calls on her almost twenty years of real estate experience in pricing, marketing, networking, contract negotiation and contract processing to advise her clients so that they are positioned to maximize their situations to move on. She utilizes her interior design training and background to assist and advise them in prepping their properties to go on the market. Although a property that shows well is almost always more appealing than one that doesn’t, in a neutral or buyers’ market, it might not just be the difference between selling faster and for more money, but the difference of whether it sells at all. How a property presents shows makes a huge difference.
Anne strives to earn her clients’ on-going referrals of friends, family, acquaintances and business associates not just because it makes good business sense, but because it means that her clients have been pleased enough to refer her to people they care about. Anne has been a full time Realtor since early 1989, licensed in both Maryland and the District of Columbia. Originally with Shannon & Luchs (acquired by Weichert Realtors in 1993), she affiliated with Coldwell Banker Realty Pros from 1993 until 1998 at which time she joined W.C. & A.N. Miller Realtors. In early 2007 W.C. & A.N. Miller Realtors was acquired by Long & Foster Realtors and is now a boutique of the larger company known as W.C. & A.N. Miller, a Long and Foster Co.
Anne regularly attends real estate seminars and recently received the CRS designation (Certified Residential Specialist) held by less than 5% of Realtors nationwide. She obtained her GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation in 1998. From 2000 - 2004 Anne took many interior design classes at the Corcoran College of Art and was a part-time student in the Masters degree program in Interior Design at George Washington University. During 2004-2005 she participated in four week long Learning as Leadership (LAL) seminars in Sausalito, California (www.Learnaslead.com and did intensive work focusing on communication skills, life-time goals and priorities.
Since 1993 she has lived in Bethesda with her husband Rich, who is Chief of the Surface and Microanalysis Science Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), their three children, their dog and a cat. All three of their children attended Montgomery County Public Schools.
Anne enjoys working on interior design and remodeling projects, gardening, playing tennis, theatre, reading, art, traveling and spending time both on and off the job with the many wonderful people she has gotten to know during the course of her real estate career.
