Bethesda, Chevy Chase and Potomac School Information The Washington, D.C. Metro Area is among the most educated in the country. In 2005, Money Magazine ranked Chevy Chase as the most educated city in the country, Bethesda as the second most educated city and Potomac as the fourth most educated city. This education carries over into the top-notch public schools in the area. Montgomery Country Public Schools (where students from Bethesda, Chevy Chase and Potomac attend) is the 17th largest school system nationwide, and is often regarded as one of the best. More than 90% of students graduate, and nearly 70% of students participate in AP and honors courses. Montgomery County and the Washington, DC Metro Area also offers an array of high caliber private and parochial schools. Additionally, there are many highly regarded colleges and Universities.
